On behalf of the Alliance for Academic Internal Medicine (AAIM), thank you for agreeing to present a poster at Academic Internal Medicine Week 2026 (AIMW26). Please review the frequently asked questions. If you have additional questions, please contact meetings@im.org.

Poster Abstract Questions

How big should my printed poster be?

Each poster will be assigned a 4 foot tall x 8 foot wide poster board in the reception ballroom; your poster can be any size within those parameters. Thumbtacks will be provided for your use.

Does AAIM print poster abstracts for the reception?

No, AAIM does not print poster abstracts for the poster reception. Please bring your printed poster with you. All digital posters and presentation recordings will be available to view on-demand in the AIMW26 app.

How early can I arrive to set up my poster?

Posters may be set up starting Sunday, April 19, at 7:00 a.m. The AIMW26 poster session will be in-person, Monday, April 20, from 5:00 -6:30 p.m. All poster abstracts must be set up before the start of the reception. Thumbtacks will be provided for you.

When do I have to remove my poster abstract?

All posters must be picked up by 10:00 am, Tuesday, April 21. After 10:00 am, Tuesday, April 21, there is no guarantee posters will be saved.

When should I submit my digital poster and video presentation?

Please submit your digital poster (PDF) and video recording through the AIMW26 poster upload link later than close of business Wednesday, April 1, 2026.

Where do I upload my poster material?

Please use the AIMW26 poster upload link and label all files with the assigned poster number. Please contact meetings@im.org if you have any questions about the poster material upload process.

Why does AAIM request my poster material before the meeting?

AAIM uploads digital posters and video presentations to the AIMW26 app prior to the start of the meeting so participants may view on-demand before the meeting, if desired.

Registration Questions

If I am a poster presenter do I need to register?

 Yes!  All workshop and poster presenters for AIMW26 are required to register and pay the registration fees by April 1, 2026. Workshop presenters who do not register by the deadline will be removed from the agenda.

General Questions

Can I add additional presenters to my workshop session?

Yes. Please contact AAIM Conferences & Meetings Program Senior Specialist Jessica Darnell at (703) 341-4540 or meetings@im.org with any changes to speakers for your session.

Who should I talk to if I have questions while onsite at the meeting?

If you have any questions while onsite at the meeting, please visit the onsite registration desk and a member of the Alliance staff will assist you.

What items must I submit prior to the meeting?

Please submit the following items prior to the meeting via email to meetings@im.org:

  • Speaker confirmation forms (via the link provided in the speaker confirmation email), are due Monday, December 1, 2025.
  • Presentations are due by close of business Wednesday, April 1, 2026.

What is the schedule for AIMW26?

The AIMW26 schedule page and the meeting app (available after March 27) contain all agendas for the meeting.
