Leadership

The Alliance is governed by a representative board of directors, composed of four officers – President-Elect, President, Past President, and Treasurer – council leaders, and at-large members.

Founding councils are composed of four officers and six to nine councilors, generally elected by member majority voting; most councils also include committee chairs, which are appointed positions. Constituent councils are structured in the same way as founding councils and represent large member groups within APDIM and CDIM; the chairs of the constituent councils hold an ex officio position on the respective founding council.

FY 2028 Call for Board and Council Nominations

The Alliance call for nominations for all governance positions in FY 2028 closed on September 30, 2026.

Nominations for the AAIM Board positions will be reviewed by the AAIM Nominating Committee in October and November; candidates will be notified about their status no later than February 1. Council nominations will be reviewed by the respective councils in November; candidates will be notified about their status no later than December 15.
